I'm afraid this man is a good example of thw religiously ignorant. He has no clue of the great works of art, culture and the great advance of Western Civilization that could have been only happen as a result of Christianity.
More evil have been done in the name of secularism than the church ( note not *Christ* or *Christianity*) could have dreamed of. I suggest you review your history!
Hospitals, Schools, the end of slavery, are all the result of Christianity.
@Grace I'm afraid you're misguided. The Spanish Inquisition WAS the church. If it were up tot the Pope, women would still be inferior to men, only good to bear children. The church now all but embraces islam, that holds similar medeval values, while they should be aware that they have no chance of survival once they've surrendered.
There's no need to be religious to embrace morality, in fact, it helps to not be religious.
Please understand me correctly, I have no quarrel with people that want to enslave themselves to their particular fairytale, as long as they don't intend to enslave me.
That what I consider freedom of religion, but also freedom FROM religion.

There's no 'good cause' that justifies suppression or other evil deeds contemplated in the pursuit of power.
